CKROWD

Introduction

This project focuses on improving the Ckrowd Talent Profile Dashboard.
The dashboard is where creators highlight their skills, share their projects, manage certifications, and connect with opportunities.
My goal was to design a profile experience that feels thoughtful, personal, and simple to use.

They needed clear sections that explain the state of the system without extra work. They needed a layout that supports fast decisions during busy hours.

Project Overview

Problem

The older version of the profile dashboard felt flat and task-heavy.
Creators wanted a place that felt more like their space.
They also needed clearer ways to do important actions like adding new projects, updating experience, or showing their career achievements.

After reviewing user feedback and observing how creators interacted with profiles, I found three main problems:

  1. The profile page did not express personality
Creators prefer profiles that feel visual, modern, and expressive.
  2. Editing actions felt scattered
Users struggled to find where to add new projects, edit past work, or update their information.
  3. Project and experience details lacked structure
The content was there, but it needed a better layout to make it clear, readable, and professional.

These insights shaped the direction of the redesign.

Users

The dashboard was designed for three main user groups within Ckrowd:

  1. Creative professionals
Photographers, DJs, producers, filmmakers, writers, performers.
  2. Talent managers and coordinators
They review profiles when searching for talent for events or programs.
  3. Recruiters and program partners
They use the profile to understand a creator’s background before sending an opportunity.

From interviews and fast testing sessions:

  • Users wanted visual clarity and easy navigation.
  • Users wanted the profile to feel more premium and portfolio-like.
  • Users needed clear entry points for creating and editing content.

These insights helped refine the design direction.

Visual Design Direction

The design uses:

  • A dark, elegant background that highlights photos
  • Soft shadows and rounded cards
  • An expressive header banner
  • A centered profile photo that creates a personal connection
  • High-contrast fonts for readability

The visual direction supports creators who rely on strong imagery to tell their story.

Solution

The final Ckrowd Talent Profile Dashboard gives creators a space that feels personal, visual, and professional.

Key Improvements
  1. Strong and expressive profile header
The banner image adds personality and sets tone. The profile photo, bio, location, and roles sit clearly at the top.
  2. Visual project gallery
Each project has a card with a large thumbnail, short info, and a “View project” button.
  3. Clean experience section
Experience items use bullet points and photos to make the story structured and easy to read.
  4. Easy content creation
The large “New project” card encourages creators to add more work to their profile.
  5. Modern and consistent feel
The use of dark mode, spacing, simple icons, and readable typography gives the dashboard a premium look.

Conclusion

The Ckrowd Talent Profile Dashboard redesign turns a simple account page into a personal digital portfolio.
It supports creators by giving them a clean and expressive space to present their work.
Designing this dashboard reinforced the value of clarity, personality, and simplicity in profile-driven products.
